So as you have probably heard by now the USPS is raising prices (AGAIN!) this month. As such my shipping prices have had to go up and it will be a big jump compared to other years. I work hard to keep my shipping prices low for you all, but with this big increase from the USPS it needs to go up further then other years.
To help you understand better the price you see for shipping, let me explain what goes into my calculating the price. Obviously the USPS price to ship it is the main portion of the price you pay. The rest is a handling charge to cover packaging, ink, paper, tape, and inserts (such as business cards and invoices). Again, I buy everything in bulk to help keep these costs low for you.
The price for shipping and handling was $2 for the last 3 years. We absorbed a good bit of the cost of the handling to keep our prices low. This year we are going to have to absorb less of that as the prices have gone up for some of our shipping supplies.
So what will the new price be? The new price will be $3 for shipping within the US. Any shipping internationally will go up according to the USPS prices. For international shipping, we attempt to keep the shipping and handling fee as close to the USPS price as possible as those prices are already fairly high.
Thank you for being so understanding and here's to a great year for us all!
